3.2 Stay on the right side of the law

Understand that while most countries may not have direct laws against cyberbullying, there are provisions to flag or report such actors. Find out if there are already laws in your country against cyberbullying, and make full use of them. The International Technology Law Association has documented the laws on IT security across many countries. The country-wise information on their dossier would be a good starting point for you to gauge the laws in the country you are in. This could be, if needed, followed by a detailed look at the relevant sections, clauses, or acts, through the country’s official law platforms or portals. If you think the laws are in your favour and you are being violated against, the best way would be to inform law enforcement authorities.
